Waterfront Blues Festival
From: 2013.07.04 To: 2013.07.08
Excellent blues music and fighting hunger go hand in hand at the Waterfront Blues Festival. Instead of buying a regular ticket, blues lovers can enjoy first-class music for 10 US dollars and two cans of food per day. All collected food and money go to Oregon Food Bank that fights hunger in the bordering region of Oregon and Washington. Although this event is charitable, it still strives for musical and organizational perfection. The organizers highlight that this is the “largest blues festival on the West Coast and the second largest blues festival in the nation”. In the past, the festival hosted musicians like Johnny Winter, Keb’ Mo’, Taj Mahal and Isaac Hayes. Alongside outstanding blues performances, the audience can participate in interesting workshops and enjoy fireworks. There are also special events designed for kids so you can bring the whole family to this good cause supporting blues event.
