Warsaw Film Festival
From: 2014.10.12 To: 2014.10.21
Step outside the world of big-budget Hollywood films and you'll be amazed at what you find. Poland and many of its Central European neighbors have a strong film making tradition dating back to Communist times when the industry received state financing for their films. There is no better place to discover this tradition for yourself than at the Warsaw Film Festival (WFF). The Festival is open to the public and has five competitive and two non-competitive sections. In addition to the usual feature, documentary, and short film categories, the festival has a Free Spirit Competition for what it calls "independent, rebellious films from all over the world" The Audience Award is decided by polling at the conclusion of each film. All films are screened at the Kinoteka Multiplex and Multikino Złote Tarasy.
