Chainsaws can be used for more than cutting down trees or serving as a prop in a horror flick--they can also be used to create beautiful and unusual carvings. During the International Chainsaw Carvers Rendezvous held in Ridgeway, Pennsylvania every year, artists take up the chainsaw and turn ordinary pieces of wood into masterpieces. Competitors from all around the globe compete to see who can be the most creative and artistic and to exchange techniques in this unique but probably dangerous artistry. Featuring auctions, food booths and live music, this festival is perfect for the art lover who wants to see something a bit unconventional.
