Do you fancy two weeks of partying and dancing at a vibrant carnival in the colourful city of Alicante in Spain? Taking place every year in the winter for two weeks, the Alicante Carnival is a must go for anyone who enjoys a pure, traditional and upbeat Mediterranean fiesta. The festival begins with traditional plays and ends with a special ritual entitled the Funeral Wake and Burial of the Sardine. A mix of proper Andaluzian traditions with some of the best Flamenco groups in the world.
