In the heart of Atlanta, Auburn Avenue’s rich African American history comes alive! This festival is a celebration of this community’s unique contributions to Atlanta and the United States. This festive event hosts musical entertainment and performing artists in a celebration of African American culture. There are multiple entertainment stages, catering to an array of tastes such as jazz, blues, hip hop and world music. In addition, artisans sell their one-of-a-kind pieces and there is always a bite to eat if you get hungry while strolling along the mile and a half avenue.
