Description

In 1985, two African Penguins arrived at Simon's Town and decided to make a home there. They were not the only ones who stayed; hundreds of penguins now call Simon's Town home. The local community has learned to adapt to the penguins and now, they even celebrate them with a festival dedicated to local penguin conservation. This festival has music, beach activities, competitions and a releasing of rehabilitated penguins back onto the wild. Join in on this great festival that celebrates man and penguin living together in harmony.
