Description

For over forty years, the San Francisco Pride has been a boisterous and important celebration for the LGBT community. The Pride is internationally recognized as the largest LGBT celebration in the world. Every year, hundreds of thousands come to San Francisco just to be part of the two day party that is open to all. San Francisco’s Market Street is the main hub of activity for the parade. Surrounding the route and winding through San Francisco's colorful neighborhoods, festivities range from family oriented theater and play performances to the more exotic, such as leather and bondage demonstrations. In addition, entertainment acts are always top notch. Such past performers include Lady Gaga and Kat DeLuna, as well as comedian Margaret Cho. The Pride’s electric atmosphere makes it an important cultural, political and social event in San Francisco every June.
