Description
Every year, Faro celebrates its favourite saint in appropriate fashion. This is an annual event held each October in Largo de São Francisco, which includes colourful stalls and displays as well as plenty of entertainment for children. They create a huge temporary fairground in the centre of the town, which is a sight not to be missed. Adults and children alike will enjoy the traditional fairground rides with the smell of candy floss and fun filling the town. The ten days of festivities are colourful and exciting, not what you would normally expect from the celebration of a saints day, but the locals are the perfect hosts and it is a great event for families
