Description

It's a sprint during the day, and a party in midnight sunlight during the Reykjavík Cultural Night. The world's most northern capital city, Reykjavík hosts a marathon and night of cultural festivities during a time of year when the sun stays out nearly 24 hours a day. Indeed, the city goes a bit manic offering outdoor concerts, performances, street performances, and other strange and interesting temptations. Meanwhile restaurants, bars and galleries stay open to cater to the wide-eyed strolling crowds. A fireworks display at midnight crowns the evening, when families head home and a party as legendary as Iceland's volcanoes begin.
