Performers gather from Samoa, Tonga, Cook Islands, Fiji, Niue, Tahiti, Tokelau, Tuvalu, Kiribati and New Zealand - 200,000 people follow, everyone of them up for a party. The Pasifika Festival is probably the most important cultural festival in the Pacific region, as it celebrates the unique identities of the Pacific nations and New Zealand. The event features top-notch live music across four stages and countless stalls packed full of food, clothes, jewellery and crafts. The music is of an extremely varied nature, with everything from traditional songs to the cheesiest of pop.
