Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race
From: 2014.04.07 To: 2014.04.07
There might be a class war brewing on the streets of the UK, but unless the guillotines are brought out for the ruling classes' children too, there should be enough students to make up the numbers at the Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race this March. The race dates back to 1829, when Charles Merivale, a student at Cambridge and his friend Charles Wordsworth, a student at Oxford, persuaded their respective institutions to challenge each other to a race along the Thames. It's been growing in popularity ever since. Last year Cambridge stumped the chumps at Oxford and were watched by over 250,000 race-loving ladies and gents. Who'll win this year's race? Get yourself a good spot somewhere between Putney to Mortlake along the Thames to find out first hand.
