The Heineken Open'er Festival is the largest Polish open-air music and performing arts festival and definitely the most important music event in Gdynia - a city in the north of Poland on the Baltic Sea. It is a special place on the Polish map, where people from more than 30 countries meet to enjoy the best performances and and have the best weekend of the year. The festival takes place in Babie Doly airfield, giving you 75 hectares to explore. It contains 7 stages featuring around 120 artists, a festival town where you can purchase merchandise, gastronomic zones, an area for multimedia, film, and theatre performances, and space for sports activities. 10 hectares are dedicated to the campsite, where the true festival admirers sleep once the sun comes up. Recent years have seen Jay-Z, Chemical Brothers, Sex Pistols, Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon and Pearl Jam take the main stage.
