Natchez Spring Pilgrimage
From: 2014.03.10 To: 2014.04.14
Each Spring, the Mississippi town of Natchez goes back in time to the heady days of the pilgrims. Thirty of the town's antebellum mansions open their doors to the public to provide a glimpse of what life may have been like for the American settlers back in the early days of the country's foundations. History buffs will have the time of their lives poking around these old mansions, many of which are private residences the rest of the year. Costumed family friends and descendants of the original inhabitants of the property guide visitors around the houses during the Natchez Spring Pilgrimage, sharing stories and anecdotes of life 'back in the day'. This is the America of legends, much talked about but rarely seen, particularly by tourists. So make sure you get along to the Natchez Spring Pilgrimage to witness a little piece of history!
