Take advantage of this great opportunity for you to put on a pair of lederhosen, feather boas and high heels and go out onto the streets along with 70,000 other enthusiastic people who are dressed in similar fashion to watch a parade consisting of over 30,000 people. Munich Christopher Street Day brings together all kinds of people, including politicians, music stars and T.V stars. This event is also used as a way for people to remember the New York Stonewall riots in 1969 where gay people took to the streets in order to fight for equality, civil rights and pride.
