Description

World War I, The Great Depression and extra harsh weather conditions are the only three events that have managed to interrupt the Mummers Parade. One of the biggest parades of the year, the event features thousands of dressed-up participants competing in one of four categories: comics, fancies, string bands, and fancy brigades. The parade ridicules current events and various aspects of our lives. The outfits are colorful, original and grandiose. Some of the participants spend tens of thousands of dollars on their costumes, which can weigh up to 100 pounds! The parade is followed by a ticketed show and an after-party. Start off your year with bright colors, laughter and craziness!
