Will you not marry me? Yes you read that right. Read on. Each year in October, the picturesque and artistic neighbourhood of Montmarte in Paris gets ready for one of the biggest grape-harvest celebrations of the year. Wine producers from all over the country come together for five days of festivities and the tasting of regional products in the cosy streets of this renowned district. Large crowds come to celebrate the local products, as well as the cultural activities and games, making it the third most popular festivity in the French capital. There'll be spectacular fireworks and peculiar non-marriage proposals, the famous Urchin’s ball, the chance to visit Montmartre cathedral and, of course, world class wines.
