Fancy a laugh? Then the Milan Clown Festival is a pretty good place to clown around. But it's far more serious than that, clowns have an important role in every society. As the organisers put it, "Clowns of the world unite and come to Milan! If there’s a city that needs your help then here it is. Here we need go to back to laughing, to mocking the king, to making fun of power." Inside, outside, morning, noon and night, countless clowns will be doing their job for three days and for free across the city.
