The Christmas market marketplace gets fuller each year, which is why the long-established market in Metz likes to keep ahead of the game. The Christmas market takes place in several squares of the city, all of which are decorated as beautifully as a well wrapped gift under a tree. They've even got the real Father Christmas, who's given up living in Lapland because of the high rents and decided upon Metz. He's got no less than 90 chalets apparently.
