The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City is not quite like anything else you've ever seen! Making its way from 77th Street and Central Park West and winding its way through to 34th street and 7th avenue, the parade has been delighting families, and for many New Yorkers defining Thanksgiving, since 1927! Plenty of celebrities will be on hand to entertain, with family favourites like Disney's Buzz Lightyear, Shrek and Spiderman as well as floats from Sesame Street, Snoopy and the Smurfs to name just a few! There will also be marching bands galore to complete the festive atmosphere, and even the normally very serious NYPD motorcycles and mounted unit will join in the fun! In past years stars of the likes of Kylie Minogue, Kanye West, Jessica Simpson and Macy Gray have entertained the crowds, and this year is sure to be no exception. So forget the turkey this Thanksgiving, grab your whole family and head along to Central Park for the extravaganza that is the Macy's Thanksgiving day Parade!
