Los Angeles Times Festival of Books
From: 2016.04.20 To: 2016.04.21
Los Angeles is not only about Hollywood, movie stars and beach parties. It's also the birthplace of many famous American writers, and the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books is a case in point. It is one of the biggest festivals of its kind in the country with over 300 exhibitor booths offering a wide range of books and books-related merchandise. This event gives you an opportunity to learn about new products on the market, meet some of the most successful national publishers and writers, attend storytelling sessions as well as cooking demonstrations and poetry readings, and, of course, book signings. A series of activities will also be organized for children. One of the best things about this festival is that it is completely free of charge. Over 400 authors take part in the event, with past names including Daisy Fuentes, Dave Eggers, Alice Waters, Meg Cabot and Father Gregory Boyle. The festival makes for a great family weekend, where everyone is guaranteed to find something of interest.
