If you thought carnivals are inevitably connected to hot weather and exotic far away places, then you may want to reconsider. Better still, you may want to have a fabulous time in snowy Livigno. The carnival takes place in the highly picturesque Alpine ski resort town in northern Italy near the Swiss border, and is surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The spectacular event starts with a downhill convoy of skiers wearing traditional ski gear before floats parade through the beautiful streets of Livigno. Throughout the eventful week, you will have the chance to dress up and attend a ball as well as to take the Rodeo Challenge, among many other fun events. It goes without saying that skiing is highly encouraged.
