Description

Each May, 60 miles north of Hamburg, the little town of Krautsland gets ready to battle for their annual lawn mowing championships. Started as a bet in the 1990´s, lawn mowing is now considered by some to be a legitimate motor sport. The popularity of lawn mowing motor sport in the region began due to the number of sit-on lawnmowers and since 1997 this event has grown in popularity. Today, nearly 8,000 spectators arrive to watch 50 drivers get covered in mud and grass. Keep your fingers crossed that you don´t get in the way!
