The expression takes on a whole new meaning when it comes to Hawaii’s famed Kona coffee, the gourmet arabica bean grown and hand-picked by fifth-generation coffee farmers on the upland areas of the Big Island. Celebrate the region’s multi-ethnic heritage and join in the harvest at Hawaii’s oldest culinary fest, the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival. Take part in the coffee-picking contest, cheer for your favorite at the Miss Kona pageant and savor the aromatic creations of the Cupping Competition’s participants.
