Description

The Karlovy Vary IFF is the most important international film festival in Central and Eastern Europe. Previous guests include the full alphabet of famous actors and directors, from Alan Alda to Zeffirelli. It also happens to be one of the oldest in Europe with the first festival held in 1946. Each year more than 200 films from directors worldwide are screened in Karlovy Vary. The whole festival is concentrated in the historical city center winding through the spa promenade connecting the Hotel Thermal and Grandhotel Pupp. Yes, Karlovy Vary's first claim to fame is as a world-class spa town.
