Juwenalia is a Polish student holiday usually occurring in May that transforms university towns across Poland into party paradises. The holiday follows a grueling year of studies and provides a much-deserved break before the summer exams. The Juwenalia traditions vary slightly in each city, but usually involve a student parade to the town square where the mayor hands over the symbolic keys to the city. The heavy partying is pretty consistent everywhere you go. Krakow is one of the larger university towns and an ideal place to experience Juwenalia at its best.
