Description

To demonstrate their great pride in their country's most famous and fabulous classical music composer, the Czech Republic has for the past 20 years celebrated the International Festival of Advent and Christmas Music with Petr Eben. An opportunity for members of the public to win glory and a little bit of fame, the first Advent weekend in Prague sees amateur men's, women's and children's choirs competing before a professional jury as well as public spectators like your good self for the honour of best performance, best conductor and, of course, the coveted Petr Eben Prize. So if you're not quite feeling the Christmas cheer yet, come along and hear all your Christmas favourites performed by local choirs singing their hearts out for your enjoyment! It's sure to warm the heart of even the staunchest Christmas Grinch....
