Description

The remnants of the old coal and steel industry in Essen difficult to find today. Nevertheless, if you are curious to know how Duisburg, one of the most important cities in the region, looked like in the past then the Industrial Heritage Night is an annual event that rekindles the past of the city under the flag of music, dance and theatre. Over 50 events take place in various different locations in the Ruhr region; the means of transportation are excellent, and varied! In addition to buses, trams and trains, visitors can opt for museum-piece railway trains, or the nostalgic age-old trams. A bicycle shuttle is available as well.
