The warmth and charm in Igls, a village south of Innsbruck, during the annual Christmas Parade held on the 23rd of December may tempt visitors away from the ski resort town to attend the morning procession. The Igler Bergweihnacht gives local children the limelight as the stars of this nativity parade. Kids are beautifully dressed as a shepherds, angels and animals as well as Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. Parents and other locals happily clap as the parade heads down the snowy streets. It's a well-respected small town event in the Tyrolean region, so come early and dress warmly to enjoy the nativity procession.
