You will find a whole Christmas village in Hafnarfjörður during the holiday season. At this feast of sights and sounds, you will be amazed by the stunning view, provided by the thousands of lights shining in the volcanic landscape, as well as by the live entertainments, going on every day. The village does not lack the Christmas houses filled with stands of local vendors, where you can buy all sorts of Icelandic crafts and gifts, such as traditional hats and mittens, wood carvings, candles, holiday decorations and many more. Trying some of the homemade Icelandic delicacies and holiday goodies, like glogg (Icelandic mulled wine), hot chocolate, waffles is a must when visiting the village.
