If you wanna be somewhere special on the 4th of July try visiting Arlington Heights a.k.a. “the village of good neighbors”. They mark Independence Day with a great festival that includes music, a parade, a carnival, sports, food and fun. The event is called Frontier Days and it definitely explores the frontiers of a good time. Visit this festival and watch or participate in the “Stampede run”, “3 vs 3 soccer” or just have a good laugh over nice food and listen to interesting music. The organizers are proud of the title “the finest festival in the northwest suburbs“ given by Daily Herald and they strive to improve every year. Visitors love this event which, as the organizers say, reminds them of “an old-fashioned ‘home town gathering’”. In previous years guests could enjoy artists like Starship starring Mickey Thomas, Night Ranger, Dennis DeYoung and American English. See who’s playing this year and mark your calendar for a groovy old school festival.
