Festival of History is among the UK’s largest historical events with more than 1,000 re-enactors who march out of history into the heart of England at Kelmarsh Hall, Northamptonshire. The festival features a weekend full of clashing swords, thundering hooves, roaring cannons, screaming aeroplanes and have-a-go fun! The wide ranging program presents dramatic events from the past 2,000 years with more than 50 different shows each day, including living history displays and re-enactments of key battles. If you would like to explore the history of England further, there will be also lectures given by historians and the festival’s special guests.
