Feast of the Hunters’ Moon
From: 2013.09.24 To: 2013.09.25
The Feast of the Hunter’ Moon recreates the meeting between French traders and Native Tribes way before there was even the idea of the United States and the French still were considered one of the dominant powers in the New World. During the fall, both groups would meet at Fort Ouiatenon to trade furs and other goods for the upcoming winter months. The event is still celebrated every fall with encampments featuring thousands of period actors, rifle demonstrations, period music and authentic food to tantalize your taste buds! Enjoy the crisp fall air and step back in time to the early 18th century during the Feast of the Hunter’s Moon!
