Like its New York equivalent, the Feast of Saint Gennaro is one of the highlights of the city of Naples. Saint Gennaro is the patron saint of Naples, thus the citizens hold this day very close to their hearts. In the morning the city is buzzing with religious fervour as ceremonies take place across the city. Then comes the food, music, and celebrating, which turn the crazy, mazy streets of Naples into a full on festival.
