If you're searching for a traditional and fun religious fest taking place in a superb location right at the foot of the Italian Alps then you should head to the Domodossola Carnival. Each year a large masked carnival takes place combining religious and pagan themes, producing a wonderful and lively atmosphere. During the events, you can thoroughly enjoy many live musical concerts, open air theatre as well as the climax of it all, a large parade with people arriving from all the neighbouring towns dressed in amazing costumes.
