Description

This festival organized around the city features contemporary dancers and the best performers of Hungarian folk dancing, as well as top international artists from the world of classical and world music. The Danube Promenade is crowded with youngsters, women dressed in traditional costumes (gathered skirts, starched blouses, with ribbons in their hair) and men in round, felt hats. The highlight of the Carnival is the gala on the open-air stage on Margaret Island.
