A Christian music festival first held in 1984, the Cornerstone Festival (or simply “C-stone”) was started by Jesus People USA’s rock mag of the same name with the aim of cramming a few days with “more rock and roll than anyone has dared”. The annual event now draws about 25,000 festival-goers, most of whom camp on the vast festival grounds. Besides the live performances, there are also seminars, workshops and film screenings on offer as well as various sports activities, including a skate park and a laser tag course. Recent performers have included the likes of P.O.D, Lost Dogs, Third Day, As I Lay Dying, Randy Stonehill and Sixpence None the Richer.
