Description

Calle Orange, the largest Hispanic festival in Central Florida, gathers some of the best of Latin America’s performers on four stages along ten blocks of downtown Orlando. On the day of the festival downtown Orlando transforms itself into a street exhibition featuring Hispanic music, food, and culture. Founded in 1999, the festival draws more than 50,000 people who dance and stroll the streets while listening to music, and feasting on traditional Latino dishes – empanadas, alcapurrias, rice and beans, yuca, roasted pork, and other delicious specialties. Other than food, various booths lining the streets are promoting different activities or merchandise, from salsa classes to flags and shirts from the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Nicaragua, Mexico, and more. Escape the mundane routine for a day a join the fiesta!
