Description

Kicking barrels through ditches, barbed wires and numerous other obstacles to win free beer - doesn't this sound like fun? It actually is a very entertaining old tradition of Hallaton, re-enacted each year on Easter Monday. The competition tests your stamina and well…love for beer! As part of the event, a 20-inch hare pie is baked and paraded through the village. It is then blessed by the rector, who distributes it among the participants and visitors. The day ends with big celebrations in local pubs.
