Description

Started by a university student who was more interested in the important things in life (music concerts) than the unimportant things (studying) the festival has grown into an uncontrollable cultural beast. Over the years Jimi Hendrix, Seamus Heaney, Yoko Ono, Paul Muldoon, James Galway, Van Morrison, Stewart Parker and Marie Jones have all performed at the event that seems to get better and better as it approaches its half-century. Over 2 weeks and across 30 venues, there'll be theatre, dance, music, comedy, film, literature and art.
