Description

A smile for a day. It could be a catchy slogan of toothpaste commercial. But for several years, this slogan is the main theme of the Befana Benefica held in Milan, Italy. The first edition of the Befana Benefica was held on 6 January 1967 through the initiative of the members of the Moto Club Ticinese. The idea was to organize a motorbike gang that would spead charity and generosity. The event begins in the morning when over 7,000 motorcyclists invade Epiphany Cathedral Square, bringing gifts to those attending as a sign of solidarity and affection. Afterward, the event parades through the streets of Milan and the bikers are greeted by the cheers of city.
