Autumn Speyside Whisky Festival
From: 2013.09.27 To: 2013.10.01
Music, food and, of course, whisky. Lots and lots of whisky. That in a nutshell is the Autumn Speyside Whisky Festival. There'll be experts to advise you on the best food to accompany the whisky on offer, local restaurants putting on specials packed full of decent Scottish grub in honour of the festival, and music, dancing, exhibitions and pipe bands to keep you entertained in between sipping - or gulping - Scotland's national drink. When you need a break, you can join a guided walking tour in Speyside and the Cairngorms National Park, or shop for crafts at the craft fair. Don't be sad when the festival is coming to an end, because it means its time for the famous Dregs Party, where organisers ensure that every last drop is drained from leftover bottles. This is not to be confused with the equally excellent Spirit of Speyside. Or maybe you should confuse them and then, after pretending to yourself that you've accidentally gone to the wrong one, go to the other one to. After all, what harm can an extra dram or 5 do?
