Arkansas Blues and Heritage Festival
From: 2014.10.04 To: 2014.10.06
Arkansas Blues and Heritage Festival or King Biscuit Blues Festival is a festival as delicious as it sounds, without being anything even remotely related to food. It is Arkansas’s biggest music festival and one of the USA’s best blues fests. It started in 1986 and from a small gathering of local residents and a flatbed truck as a stage the event has grown into a three day festivity with four stages and a series of activities, that secured a place for this blues jam among one of the nation’s foremost showcases of blues music. The banks of the mighty Mississippi river are flooded every fall with blues enthusiasts from all corners of the continent, gathering in the historic downtown of Helena to hear moving performances from legends such as B.B. King, Dr. John, and Taj Mahal along with almost sixty other blues acts.
