Cello-lovers, the time is ripe for the annual Amsterdam Cello Bienalle! This year, the picturesque Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ on the Amsterdam Harbour front will become a cello-lover's paradise, as Dutch and international soloists, ensembles and orchestras take over the venue for 9 delicious days. With over 40 concerts featuring both Dutch and international cello masters originating from countries including the USA, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, China and the Netherlands, the sweet sound of the cello will be in the air so often, planes will be grounded and mobile phones stop working. Meanwhile, the Mega Children’s Cello Orchestra introduces youngsters to the instrument in a fun and accessible way.
