No balls please! The WTA Tour is the female professional tennis circuit organised by the Womens Tennis Association. There's well over 2000 players competing for close to $90 million in prize money at over 50 events in more than 50 countries. Not bad for a competition that has humble beginnings in the 1970s when Billie Jean King and 8 other trailblazers started women's professional tennis!
